In a world obsessed with the stories of others, we often overlook the epic tales that reside within ourselves.  This Full Moon Clearing Ceremony invites you to rewrite your narrative, dive deep into your psyche and unveil the mysteries that lie beneath the surface. It’s time to break free from the shackles of old pains and rediscover the buried treasures of joy and love.

Embrace yourself and grow

Life isn’t all doom and gloom, it is a kaleidoscope of experiences waiting to be explored. With this ceremony, you can gain a different perspective of your life each time you do it.  You can embrace a different aspect of who you are and of course, grow accordingly.  So without further ado, let’s get started.

Set your intentions

Before diving in, set your intentions.  Take a moment to jot down your aspirations, dreams and desires.  This will be your guiding light as we navigate through the labyrinth of emotions.

Feeling stuck, blocked or simply frustrated with life’s detours?  This ritual will help you identify and release those stubborn roadblocks that have held you back.  And if someone else’s drama has left you in a tizzy, here is your chance to vent it out on paper.  Let those words flow like a river, no need to censor yourself.

Find the perfect place

Find a comfortable spot where you won’t be disturbed and set about creating the atmosphere you want.  Put your favourite music on, let the aroma of essential oils dance in the air, and light a candle to set the mood.

What you’ll need

Then  gather your tools; a trusty pen, three sheets of paper (thin ones work best), and two candles, one of them being white, and step outside to create more magic.  Grab a candle holder for one candle and an empty flower pot or another vessel that won’t melt, to burn your papers in.

Pen to paper

Once your space is sorted out, pen your thoughts, it’s time to enter a quiet meditation or visualisation session.  Seek guidance from the Universe and allow your intuition to flow.

After your introspective journey, grab another sheet of paper and fold it in half lengthwise.  One one side, jot down those nagging negative thoughts; on the other half craft their positive counterparts.  Shift “I’m not good enough”  to “I am more than enough” and “I’m a failure” to “Success is my middle name”.

Now, slice the paper in two and slowly shred the negative side into strips.  Feel the emotions as they surface; you’re shedding layers of old beliefs, paving the path to a brighter future.

Out into the moonlight

Time to head back outside with your strips and light the candle in the candle holder, keeping the white one for later.  As you pass the shredded paper through the candle’s flame, declare:

“I’m grateful for the lessons and what I have learned, I now release them into the Universe with love, causing no harm to anyone, including myself.”

After  you have done this, go to a nice space and light your white candle, saying “With this flame, I attract only the positive; everything is in my favour.”

Then read your list of positive affirmations.  Remember to breathe, inhaling the Universe’s support with each affirmation.  Let the empty space be filled with a cascade of white light and your new found positivity. Also read your intentions and aspirations for your future that you wrote at the beginning. 

Quiet repose

With this lovely vibration, sit quietly and meditate on what has happened.  Explore how you feel and allow new messages to flow in.  After you have finished, write down what came through for you and keep it as a reminder.

Love yourself

You are not quite finished yet.  It is now time to write yourself a love letter.  Celebrate your awesomeness, relive your adventures and cherish the connections you’ve made.  You have done remarkable things and you deserve the best.
